The first round of the Finnish Rally Championship (FRC) was held on 25th-26th January in Rovaniemi, Northern Finland. The stage was filled with snow, ice and freezing temperatures. TEIN TYPE Gr.N equipped entrants were J.Salo and K.Katajamaki.

J.Salo started off strong from the start, posting the top times for SS1- SS5. J.Salo’s teammate, K. Katajamaki fought hard to finish with the top time in SS6. The TYPE Gr.N shock absorber performed flawlessly with J.Salo finishing in 1st and K.Katajamaki in 3rd, at the end of the first day.

J.Salo continued with his strong performance, and posted the second fastest time in the opening stage of day 2. K.Katajamaki also posted the fastest time in SS10, SS11 and the final SS12. He was able to move up a position to finish in second overall place behind J.Salo.

TEIN drivers performed superbly to finish in 1st and 2nd positions. We have high hopes for the two TYPE Gr.N equipped vehicles in the up coming rounds.
