Rally Megurski
Leszek Kuzaj/Craig Parry win the first round of Polish Rally Championships
The first round of Polish rally Championships was held in the south of Poland in Gorlice. The conditions were very difficult: the route was invisible especially to first cars because of snow. Although Leszek did not win any of the stages in the rally he was the fastest overall and win the rally in the end. Leszek came up the first place overall after stage three and retained his position till the end of the rally. Leszek Kuzaj admitted he had made some mistakes. He had to go back three times on the second day of the rally and the experiment with the tyres also cost him 50 seconds. His main rivals were fighting till the end but their mistakes were more serious and cost them loss of chances to catch up with Leszek overall. All of the drivers found the weather conditions very difficult and they all emphasized the fact the snow was constantly being brought to the route by the wind.
"We are very happy to win the rally and we all hope that this is the end of our problems from last year. I'm very happy with the cooperation with my co-driver Craig Parry and I think we are an excellent duet".
