CIVIC ONE MAKE RACE Rd.1 Okayama International Circuit
Tein user 1-2 FINISH!

Entering second year of FD2 CIVIC Type-R Inter Series, suspension regulation has been renewed, and the use of front pillow-ball upper mount has been deregulated. Now, the suspension settings have widened, and it has become more important than ever.

Just like last year, opening round was held at Okayama International Circuit. At the qualifying round on the 21st, Matsui, the defending champion equipped with our suspension placed 2nd only by 4/100th of a second, but he still came out strong.

The race day was held on the next day, and it has stopped raining before the race but the course was still wet. Many have chosen to go with rain tires, but some went with dry tires predicting that the course will dry out during the race.

Matsui was chasing Tomoaki who was leading the race from start to finish, and ended up placing second. Goto, who has been showing an excellent performance from second half of last season passed one car right off the back and another during a hairpin corner, and finished third. Kobayashi and Mizukoshi placed fifth and sixth, respectively. Unexpectedly, the driver who placed first was disqualified since his car failed to pass the post-race inspection, so everyone moved up a rank and as result, TEIN user placed first, second, forth, and fifth. Just like the last season in Inter Series, East Japan Series, and West Japan Series, TEIN users have continued to show their excellence and jump started their 2009 season.
