Rd.2 of China Rally Championship was held between July 8^th and 10^th in Huairou, which is located in the opposite side of the infamous “Great Wall of China". Due to the absence of J.Salo, TEAM KST supported by TEIN welcomes the new driver, J.Miettinen who won the last round of previous year's event with vehicle equipped with TEIN damper.

 

DAY1

From SS1 to SS3, J.Miettinen stays right behind D.Higgins to place 2^nd. He stays neck-and-neck with the leader D.Higgins, and sets fastest time in SS4 and SS6 to finish 1st in DAY1.

 

DAY2

J.Miettinen takes SS7, and then D.Higgins takes SS8. Just like in DAY1, they go back and forth to stay ahead of each other and at end of SS8; the difference between the two is only 0.6sec. In SS9, J.Miettinen sets another fastest time to take the lead by 7sec. over D.Higgins. Everyone for sure thought that would guarantee his win, but in the last SS, D.Higgins shows exceptional driving skill to take the lead by 3sec. and as result, J.Miettinen ends his day by finishing in 2^nd place.

 

Rd.3 will be held in Guangdong between August 14^th and 16^th. Watch out for more action from TEAM KST and TYPE Gr.N damper.
