From May 9^th to 10^th, Rd.2 of 2009 JRC "KYOTO Nantan Rally 2009" was held in Nantan, Kyoto. Covering total of 71.47km of all-tarmac stage, the sky cleared up but the rain from the day before caused the road condition to switch from wet to dry, making it difficult to setup their vehicles.

 

JN4 class

Ishida, who switched to LANCER EVO.X (CZ4A) starting from this year changed out his suspension to a customized SUPER RACING DAMPER expecting better results than his first round. He preformed brilliantly and clocked fastest time in both SS5 and SS6 to finish 2^nd place.

 

JN2 class

Shikai, who won his first JRC win in the opening round shows excellent run from the start in his Civic TYPE-R (EK9). Setting fastest time in SS1 and SS2, he gains 30 sec. lead against 2^nd place but he slides off course in SS3 and ends with a disappointing retire.

 

Rd.3, "Himuka Rally'09 IN Misato" will be held in Miyagi between May 29^th and 31^st, followed by "MSCC Tokyo Rally 2009" and "Rally Hokkaido" which 3 of them all fought on gravel. Stay with us for more action from TEIN users!
