From July 11^th to 12^th, Rd.5 of 2009 JRC "RALLY HOKKAIDO" was held in Obihiro, Hokkaido totaling 230.54km of all out gravel action. DAY1 started out under cloudy skies, with puddles scattered throughout the course from the early rain, but DAY2 was held under clear skies, perfect for kicking up some dirt.

 

JN4 Class

Ishida started out this round with a fresh look, from his previous red colored CZ4A LANCER to MARCHE yellow.

 

In SS6 of DAY1, he equals fastest time with the leader, but he damages the rear end of his vehicle, bending the suspension member. The damage was so severe that it was extremely difficult just to drive straight, but he was able to fix the car during the final service and finished 3^rd in DAY1.

 

In DAY2, he sets fastest time in SS13, SS14, and SS16, but time lost in DAY1 was too much for him and he was unable to advance his position. Facing numbers of challenges throughout this round, he was able to finish 3^rd in RALLY HOKKAIDO.

 

Rd.6 "Kuma-Kougen Rally" will be held in Kuma-Kougen, Ehime between September 5^th and 6^th. Remaining 4 rounds will be fought on a tarmac course, so stay with us for more actions from TEIN users!
