Rd.5 of 2009 Super Taikyu Series was held in Fuji Speedway. It has been almost 2 months since the previous race, and drivers will be taking it to the extreme for maximum of 4 intensive hours.
During the qualifying race, a RX-7 duo has shown its speed in ST-3 class and car#15 KYOSHO Makers Okabe Jidosha RX-7 (FD3S) comes out first, followed by car#14 Kyoshin-keisoku My Road Okabe Jidosha RX-7 (FD3S).
In the final race, car#14 jumps out of the crowd in the opening lap to lead the race early on. Car#39 TRACY SPORTS AY-DESIGN ADVAN NSX (NA2) catches up and passes car#14 to take the lead, but he had to pit in due to a mechanical failure, and hands over the lead.
Towards the end of the race, winner of the previous round car#27 FINA ADVAN M3 (E46) takes the lead, but in the final lap he gives up his position due to an accident and settles for 2nd place. The point leader, car#16 T-MANOIL DIXEL Okabe Jidosha Z (Z33) finishes 3rd and earns enough points to stay above the rest in the class standings.
Next round will be held in September at Okayama International Circuit. Hang on tight for more action from TEIN users. |
