Rd.7 of the 2009 Super Taikyu Series was held at the Sendai Hi-land circuit.

During the qualifying session, last rounds winner #27 FINA ADVAN M3 (E46) in ST-3 class qualified in 2^nd position and was hungry for another win.

 

As the race started, he got off to a great start and took the top position on the opening lap. However disaster struck on lap 25. A mechanical problem forced him to unfortunately retire from the race.

This left #39 TRACY SPORTS ADVAN NSX (NA2) to take the lead, but a tire burst made him make an unexpected pit stop, dropping him down the order to 4^th position. By the end of the race he managed to fight his way back up the order and finish on the podium in 3^rd position. #15 KYOSHO Makers Okabe Jidosha RX-7 (FD3S) battled hard throughout the race to finish in 2^nd position behind the well deserved winner #5 5ZIGEN NSX (NA2)..

 

The next and final round of the season will be the oval battle held at Twin Ring Motegi.
