Rd.5 of Civic Inter Series took place in Suzuka Circuit. Racers return to Suzuka Circuit after the previous round in Fuji Speedway, and this will be the last high speed course of this season. The qualifying round turned out to be a close race where 7 cars finished within 1sec, which included Goto, Kobayashi, Matsui, and Mizukoshi who placed 2^nd to 5^th respectively.

 

In the final race, Kobayashi who placed 3^rd in the qualifying passes Goto to move up in 2^nd place. He maintains his pace and finishes the race placing 2^nd, while Goto who tries to regain his momentum battles head-on with 4^th place Matsui until the very end. Slight contact during 130R forces Matsui to lose balance and the gap spreads, but toward the end, Goto dives into the chicane too deep. Goto loses most of his speed which gave Matsui his chance to pass him and finished 3^rd place, while Goto settled for 4^th. Mizukoshi faced mechanical failure and best he could do was just to finish the race in one piece.

 

Rd.6 will be held in Sportsland SUGO for more fast-pace action from TEIN users.
