Rd.6 of Finnish Rally Championship was held in Kerava, located in southern Finland near the Baltic Sea. There are 2 rounds remaining, and in order for J.Salo who currently places 2^nd in the standings to win the championship, it is a requirement for him to finish 1^st this round. And at same time, the current leader must finish 4^th or less, so he will be facing a great challenge and needing some luck on his side to keep his hopes.

 

J.Salo pushes hard from the beginning, and sets fastest time in 7 out of all 8 stages, excluding SS4, to finish 1^st. But unfortunately, the leader managed to finish 2^nd and his championship title becomes a reality without finishing the final round, which at same time, defeats J.Salo’s dream to win the championship.

J.Salo comments, "Unfortunately, I had bad luck in two rallies during this season. The fact is that these retirements didn’t bring me any points".

 

Rd.7 of Finnish Rally Championship will be held in Hyvinkaa located in southern Finland. We will be bringing more action from TYPE Gr.N damper, along with J.Salo's continuous effort to finish his season in the best possible way to prepare for the next season.
