How to Use EDFC Hex Bolts

To install a motor for the EDFC ACTIVE (PRO), the set screw inside the piston rod must be replaced with an EDFC Hex Bolt, which comes with the Controller Kit. Please remember to take out the existing set screw, before inserting the EDFC Hex Bolt. Otherwise the EDFC Hex Bolt cannot budge beyond the edge of the piston rod (Photo 6), making it impossible to screw in the motor, which then stays wobbly (Photo 7). Normally it can be tightened as far as in Photo 8.

Unfortunately, EDFC motors are often assumed broken and even returned, due to this error. So make sure to remove the shock absorber's original set screw, before installing your motor.
