This applies to installing low down springs into a Honda Stream (RN1 to 4). Upper spring mounting cushions made of rubber-covered steel sit between the spring and its upper seat. Each has 6 clips that can bend around the end coil of the spring. If you do not complete bending the clips on the front upper mounting cushions, they will interfere with the springs.

1. Place the spring against the cushion as illustrated.
2. Twist the three clips marked black (▼) completely around the end coil.
3. Bend the three clips marked white (▽) slightly outward, so they will not be caught between the coils. Not too much, as they might interfere with the vehicle body.
