Honda Jazz/Fit GD1/GD3 - How to Trim Spring Mounting Seats

The S.TECH and HIGH.TECH low down springs for the Honda Jazz (also known as Honda Fit) GD1 and GD3 require trimming the OE upper mounting seats for the front springs. These are plastic insulators shaped to the vehicle's original spring diameter and turns.

Of the protrusions for mounting the spring, the one shaded in the diagram must be cut off the front upper spring mounting seats. Temporarily mount the spring on the mounting seat to confirm which part to remove. We recommend using a utility knife or hacksaw for the cutting. Since the mounting seats are made of plastic, cutting with nippers can cause cracks. Removing this protrusion causes absolutely no problems for performance.
