Subaru Impreza WRX STI - Changes from (GDB) E Model Onwards

Front shock absorbers for the Subaru Impreza WRX STI D model and earlier are not compatible with E and later models. TEIN offers dedicated products for each model. For replacing your shock absorbers, please check not only the year and model, but also the wheel PCD to select the right product. The wheel PCD changed from 100 up until the D model to 114.3 from the E model on. The size of the front knuckles has changed too.

The distance between the bolt holes is approximately 10 mm wider in the E model (left), in a front shock absorber's knuckle bracket.

On the same bracket, the E model has an approximately 5 mm wider groove to mount the knuckle.
